·A nice Omega 2777-1 ‘Fat Arrow’, issued to the RAF circa 1953.
The watch has a lovely patina to the dial and hands. This example is in nice condition as can be seen. The case and lugs are still lovely sharp, and to me it looks unpolished. There are small surface marks to the watch from wear, but these are commensurate with an issued watch of this age. All parts are original to the watch, including the crown.
When the dial is out there are some small signs of rust to the edge of the dial, mainly around 5. The dials are obviously iron and often show degradation to the edges, the main body of the dial is rust/mark free. Once cased any blistering is very hard to see. The watch is 70+ years old.
The cal 283 has just been serviced by Simon Freese, and the remainder on the mechanical warranty is in place until October 2025. Serial 12999117.
The case back is in great condition, and there are no deep scratches that are sometimes seen. The MOD engraving is nice and clear showing the 6645-101000- NATO code, 6B/542- Aircrew Issue code, and 4336/53- Stores number & year of order. Supplied on a black NATO strap as seen.
Case is 36.5 mm ex crown, lugs are fixed 18mm. There is no retainer ring present but overall this is a nice example of an Omega 6b 2777-1
Net £2295 GBP plus shipping/Insurance costs. Payment by bank transfer to my UK bank
Sales are final unless incorrectly sold. UK Shipping Royal Mail Special Insured £19.99, ROW Fedex Express, ask for quote.
Thank you.
