Hello I repost here my request, I am actually purchasing an Omega 2652 ck 2699, the seller is a profesionnal with 100 % good evaluation on eBay, he's asking 3700 dollars (a little more for me cause i am in euro with the rate exchange). The number serie is 13 xxx xxx from 1952. Does it look like a good deal ? Here photos that i have. Sorry for my bad english and not perfect quality photos i have no better. Thank you for your advices.
If you're looking for a beautiful example of a 2652 with a flat dome dial and arrowheads then you have found your watch. The movement is in the correct range and the rest of the watch looks original to my eyes except for the later service crown. As to whether it's a good deal, only you can decide how much you want to pay for this example. I think it would be difficult to find a better one for sale but at the same time it is also somewhat top heavy on the price.
A question: Have you already bought the watch? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Cons...83.l10137.c10&nordt=true&rt=nc&orig_cvip=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
The seller is good. He might accept payment in Euros as well. Then there is no exchange rate issue.....
You should ask the seller if the dial is 18k or not. From what I can see, this watch is more 2652 than a 2699. A 2652 does not have a 18k pie pan dial like a 2699 and less desirable. Here is a 2699 for you to compare IMHO, you should save your money for a correct 2699. Not a 2652.
Your Constellation is a 2852 ? The pie pan arrowhead model, I think than the 2699 is the second number deluxe for 18 k gold model.
I think you are getting confused by the dual reference case-back. @hoipolloi is suggesting that the OP watch is a 2652. A 2699 is completely different, but apparently shares the same case-back. Your title and OP also has the code "CK", which refers to a stainless case. I don't know where that came from.
I checked and it, indeed not so sure this model is a gold or gold cap 2652. The seller present the watch with 18 k gold. Thank you all for your advice and feedback Vintage isnt easy for a new like me
It is 18k gold, ref 2652. As noted above, the watch isn't a bargain, so there's no need to rush into a purchase. As @hoipolloi suggests, you can take your time and learn more before buying something.
Thank you for your advice ! I really love this watch but i will wait for a 2000-2500 euros budget for this one, quest for a good deal is a big part of the pleasure after all.
You aren't wrong but when you do find the perfect one and it seems "too expensive", if you plan to keep and wear it, a little higher price should not stop you if that's what you truly want.
