    Hi there community,
I would like to have your valuable opinion on that Omega 2609 sold by an Italian dealer (o.n.watches)? Do you know this dealer?
    Redial?
    Cheers, Giovanni

Ever seen an Omega dial without minute marks?

Scratch that... ever seen one with the faint marks left on after being cleaned off?

TLDR: it’s been cleaned and refinished ruining collectors value.

... however offered by the dealer as unpolished and untouched for 2250€...
What may also be strange is that the movement is a 30T2 from (according to serial number) 1947. According to Omega, however, the 2609 model was introduced in 1949 with a 265/266 movement.
    So beware of o.n.watches!

If that’s his definition of untouched... insert wife/daughter joke.

Knowing how things went at the time with Omega (as well as many other brands) I would not really worry about the discrepancy between the serial number on the movement versus the launch year of the model. Normally that's not really an issue.

That dial on the other hand is. And that dial with this discrepancy now raises enough red flags not to go for it and especially not for such a crazy high amount, in my opinion.
