Nice watch and I think the dial is OK. The price on the other hand... is optimistic imho.

I like the watch but the price needs to come down. I'd say it being 14kt €1500-€1750

Is a blue seconds hand common on vintage seamasters or a rarity ?

Not uncommon and doesn't effect value.

I kind of agree, but I'd say it does affect attractability and I'd personally always choose a blued hand over a gold hand on two watches of otherwise identical condition and I think I'd also be willing to pay a slight premium for the pleasure, not much for sure, but still.

Out of curiosity, is there is reason behind the blue hand or purely aesthetics?

Agree with everyone about the price.

OP, if you're open to buying a stainless steel watch rather than gold, this one might be worth considering. Sister ref. 2576 with a subdial, otherwise similar configuration as the one you posted with the added bonus (at least for me) that it doesn't have radium lume on the dial and the BoR bracelet.

Disclaimer: It's not my watch, and I don't know the seller. If I didn't already own enough watches of this style, I would buy it for myself.

I definitely love how it looks visually/ blue seconds hand / waffle dial / beefy lugs & it’s gold , I would have to counter in price ,
Being all original is most important since it will be my first seamaster & from many it looks original which eases my anxiety 😬

I think it was just a design trend back then.

Thank you for the recommendation, but I love gold watches , something about it

I find it interesting how a simple 14kt Rolex OP goes for $4-5k yet a vintage gold omega with a nice dial is valued less

Add Patek into the mix and you may find it increasingly interesting. At a time where the value of gold is at an all-time high, the price of an entry-level gold watch is dominated by the value of the gold, while the value of more prestigious brands is still dominated by collectibility.
