    Hi guys

I have bought that one and just wanted to know if all is legit here.
I think it has the right crown too.

i would say that the watch looks pretty good overall. Though it'll be better for you to make enquiries before making a purchase ;)

QED with OP pics: (He did post hi res shots but didn’t blow them up.)

HINT to all — look at the difference better cropping means for getting feedback from the rest of us.

    That enough?

It actually looks pretty nice to my untrained eyes. I do have an uncertain feeling about the movement, maybe just the rotor.

Thanks guys. The fact that it has still the original crown should say that the mouvement is ok?

Always take extra time to review a vintage dial that features black print on a light-colored surface. Many times these dials have been repainted (redialed), which watch collectors avoid.

One way to tell if a dial has probably been repainted is to scrutinize the subdial. You should see the concentric grooves on an original dial, as pointed to by the red arrow in the picture below of a 2402-1. If a dial has been repainted, these grooves are often filled in by paint and will disappear.

    (thanks)

Some folks don't mind a redialed watch but to watch collectors on a collectors forum, originality is prized.

That's a lesson. Mine is a redial then. With loupe there are these concentric grooves only partial visible on the edge of the subdial.
    Thanks for that enlightment

A great piece of info @Vitezi - always learning something new!

Sorry to hi-jack the thread but, based on the concentric circles, would I be correct in thinking mine has an original subdial but has a refinished dial around it? Or has it completely been redone?

    Thanks

Oh I know, there’s plenty of flaws if you look closely enough. Quite liked it though as a cheap run-around on the wrist :)
