.... advertised on chrono24: an Omega 2348 from 1945 for 1650Euro. Private German seller. Watch comes with original box and papers... According to the serial number the watch should be from 1946, or? Were there already applied Omega Logos on the dial in 1946? Asking the competent community for help! cheers, Giovanni
Have a look at this roll call, many watches of that era had applied numerals and markers: https://omegaforums.net/threads/30t2-rg-chronometre-roll-call.82314/ But @mac_omega and @Tire-comedon can tell you more.
I see... it seems that the applied logos on the "chronomètre" dial are much thinner and less sharp-edged than the logo on the 2348...
I think the hour hand is pretty fine (see other picture)... There are no original papers, only a booklet from 1952 about the cal. 30... Do think that the watch is genuine? I have the feeling that the movement from 1946 was recased and matched with a dial from early 50s... what do you think?
Yes, it is. That's a long shot from what's stated in the first post: "watch comes with original box and papers". Is that a seller's claim? Smells fishy, plus wildly out of price.
