I just purchased this pre-owned Seamaster Aqua Terra automatic with the white dial, and I love it. It shines so nicely in the light, and the applied "Omega" name and logo look amazing. Pictures really don't do it justice. I wanted to post a couple of pictures showing the size of the 41.5mm watch on my 7in wrist to show how it looks. I'm torn between keeping it as a larger everyday watch or returning it and getting the 38.5mm version. It definitely fills up my wrist area, but I love the way it looks. Let me know what you think (forgive the red tag; I can't return the watch if removed).

Looks good to me. I have the AT 41mm and a 7" wrist also. I tried on both the 38 and 41 and ultimately prefer this watch in the slightly larger size, despite my general preference for smaller watches. Here's a pair of crappy pix of my 41 and the nearly 37mm Aquastar Deepstar 2.

Everyone has to make their own decision regarding the dial size they're comfortable with. The trend in the recent past was to larger watches, and has now "reversed" to smaller watches. I started my watch collection in earnest in the early 90's when the average watch face was 38-40 mm, so those early watches were in that range. As time and tastes progressed the watched got bigger. I've only got a 6.75" wrist so a 45 mm watch looks bigger on my pipe cleaner than the 41 mm looks on yours. But I like lots of watch real estate, maybe it's my Scotch blood thinking I got more watch for my money. Still like my 40 mm Seiko Pogue and the 45 mm Hamilton Kahki Automatic. Different strokes for different folks.

I think the size of the watch looks fine on your wrist. But you probably shouldn't care about my opinion or any other random stranger on the internet. Most people aren't going to notice if you are wearing a watch or not. Of those who do, at least half of them won't know or care enough to distinguish it from a Timex, Rolex, or an Apple Watch. Wear whatever you want for whatever reasons make you feel good. If you think the watch it too big, best to find a smaller one.

There seems really only two types of people who notice watches. The first appreciates them for the holrology, history and beauty of it all. The second likes to steal them. There you have it.
As mentioned above....wear what you like.

Here's my 41.5 AT blue dial.

Here's my 41.5 AT blue dial.

I do love these and my watch budget is focused on adding one to my collection. I have a blue dial in mind because I just prefer blue and 38.5 size purely for the Skyfall connection.

Thank you everyone! I agree that I shouldn’t care what people think, and I appreciate the positive feedback (most importantly, all the awesome pictures of your timepieces)! I love the size, style, and the way it looks, and I’m happy to be joining the club with my first Omega.

I've said it elsewhere around here: were I to do it again I'd get the 38.5mm. The 41.5 is nice . I won't get rid of it but the 38.5 would be better...for me.

Looking at that first photo, and the rest, it looks perfect on the wrist. I'd say keep it!

I believe 41mm is too big for a watch of this type, 41mm is diver territory.
