Hi everyone, I recently came across this watch which has a 2179 / 2 marking. However on all of the 2179 models I have run into via Internet searches, they all show the "funny numbers" 1 thru 12. Has anyone ever seen this watch face? In its current state this watch looses about 1 second per day. I personally like this face better than the face showing all the numbers. However, I am questioning its authenticity. Any insight would really be appreciated. Many thanks Zee
Wrong thread mate. Start a new one rather than using this as this one is for watches people are recommending on eBay. <Thread moved>
Sure looks like a redial. Consider the apparently pristine dial to the battered, rusty movement - if the movement has suffered that amount of punishment, it is odd that the dial has escaped unscathed.
Yes, I agree. Seller asking 300 USD. Thought I could get it serviced locally if necessary. But it's currently running quite well.
The fact it is running well does not mean it's okay inside. Watches can keep great time and be totally dry inside... Timekeeping is very poor indicator of the need for service. Cheers, Al
