As far as I know FAB.SUISSE dials were made for the French market. For some obscure byrocratic reason for a certain time period watches that were exported there for sale had to have this marking on the dials. There are a few examples of Heuers with this marking around. I am no expert but I have understood that these are quite rare ,at least on the Heuers due to the small number of Heuers exported there. However , I don't know how big of a market France was for Omega when compared to Heuers. That might affect the rarity of FAB.SUISSE dials in Omegas.
My CK2495-8 (265 movement 30mm) Fab-Suisse says hello :0) https://omegaforums.net/threads/ck2495-265-manual-wind-1950-…-feedback-please.92773/
16 jewels? Serial numbers may not have been exactly sequential by revision. Maybe @Sam11 can confirm.
I didn't think T2s came with 16 jewels except for RGs, obviously not the case. Obviously need to learn more. I only wish there was a reliable reference book for this family of 30 caliber movements!
All “US Army” railway-track dial watches (both Ref. 2179 and 2384) have 16 jewel versions of the 30T2SC movement. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-other-us-army-ck-2179 Examples of these references with other dial styles may have 17 or 18 jewel versions of this movement. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
For the record, here is a nice version of a Fab. Suisse 2179. Comes with the original tag. As expected, the caseback has no engraving.
Fab. Suisse and Swiss Made together with this reference?? Have not seen that before.....kind regards. Achim
