Thinking about purchasing this watch. Would like a ballpark valuation from anyone who knows much about Omega watches made for United States Steel. Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Case is over polished, particularly the lugs and an inscription has been removed from the back (these were presentation watches), brushing should be in a straight up and down line not circular.

Every offering from this seller is priced 50 - 100% over market value.

Unless you have a special affinity for US Steel, these typically sell for $50-$100 less than an otherwise equal Seamaster.

Buy it if you like but you will over pay.

 

So we're looking at around $600-800?

 

These US Steel watches typically sell on eBay for $400-$500 and often with an original bracelet.

You should be able to find a nice original Seamaster unishell $600-800.

Not a single watch they have on offer would be considered by a collector or anyone who has done a bit of homework.

confirmation bias is such a powerful and primitive defense mechanism.
