Comes in awesome looking box as well! tempting.

To be fully authentic, I expect the red boxes to start peeling and flaking on their own

I love the 300, but I honestly would have been happy with something a bit more modern in design. A delicate ceramic bezel insert and a slightly lower level of lume patina. I realize this is an LE so perhaps what I am speaking of will materialize in the future.....meanwhile here I sit debating calling my nearest OB to place a deposit. 😵‍💫

This picture shows the general look without any touch-ups. And it ROCKS. Hoping the clasp isn't gigantic as it somewhat appears here, because the bracelet otherwise perfectly nails the look of the original ones.

Oh snap, that looks all adjustable-ie from this pic. Worth the extra thickness in my opinion.

How do you know the SM300 bezel is not ceramic?

Regarding the "Trilogy ###" branding on the triple set....I get the feeling that Omega is discouraging that Trilogy owners break up the set....? Not to mention, they wouldn't mind folks buying the 3 separately to avoid the branding...marketing at its best!

The description on Omega's website says that the bezel insert is aluminum. It'll scratch.

Could be....but I just can't have it on ALL THREE watches, just saw the source of the Speedy pics from this article posted above:

Hard hard pass, I am contacting my rep to buy 3 watches separately. No extras is worth that.

Yeah, this is too offensive and completely detracts from the intent of the trilogy being close as possible to the '57 counterparts....I'm still in disbelief because I was sold and am now completely not if this is not something you can opt out of....the extras to me aren't worth messing up the dial.....the dial to me is the most important in any watch I own.

You can apply your deposit to another watch at the OB. I would seriously do that before I would have numbers cluttering up the dials of these watches.

Just called up the Houston OB and am on the wait list. Took my name and number. Will get a call back when they get an MSRP so they know how much deposit to take. Was going to call at 10 am, but I hesitated a little. They asked if I dealt with them before so I'm guessing VIPs get first dibs.

Now for the financials. No cell phone upgrade this year, eating out less, selling some watches I don't wear anymore, etc etc.

I swear, Omega is my new waifu

And the more I see these, the more I think they should have come with an option to buy a lollipop.

If I were to order, I would make sure the order came with an extra lollipop, I think I paid $15 for mine.

So.... this?

Yes, but with no lumed seconds hand and the inner metal bezel ring with the much better lume pip design.

Spoke to my OB. I'm on the list for the trilogy, but thinking of cancelling now, since the extra text on the dial. They also said full deposit required. All $21,600 of it. In addition, only 200 making its way to the US

That is a large stake in the 557 produced. I wonder what Asia is getting?

I just talked to my OB in MI and they told me the same thing. $21,600 deposit required to guarantee a set. Have to think about that as I already put $5000 down. Apparently that changed since I called them this morning. With the new news of the Trilogy wording on the face, I may just back out and order them separately.
