Perhaps one, or both, of these will complete your collection of iconic dive watches, solesman!

2 real beauties there. I especially like the Blancpain but at 45mm it's way too big for my wrist.

The Blancpain Aqua Lung / Fifty Fathoms reddition are jokes imho. Thick, big, unelegant, with a date that is totally useless for a dive watch. I do not know what people will think of it in 20-30 years' time, but I have a serious doubt that it could rank among the must-have. And it is not cheap after all!

What about the Blancpain MILSPEC?

Without the white and orange circle and with no date maybe. Price is a little high too.

Some sellers will discount the VAT as part of the purchase.
That's interesting and appealing...

I'm seriously considering flipping my 114060. Worn once in the past 3 months.
As much as I love the Seamaster300 in general, in my humble collection I only want one diver and for my taste, the pre-ceramic no-date Sub is the perfect watch. Low-profile and iconic. I think I have the perfect pair in these two pieces:

RTK27's comparisons remind me that the SM300MC bracelet is slightly tapered vs. the '57 LE's which are not tapered at all. I kind of wish there was some taper, but then I then it would deviate from the original proportions of the original 1957 pieces.

Sweet sub 👍, I'm looking to add a 2 liner 14060m to my collection in the future. Best of both worlds with the 3130 movement and the clean look of the 2 lines. Just to bring this back to Omega, I love the way the 60th ann. SM is smaller and thinner than the current production version. It just looks so much more refined.

One observations that I don't think gets much mention is that it seems that the most appealing watches have mixed hand sets. In other words when the minute and hour hands aren't the same style. They compliment each other, but don't match.
Think of these examples:
The Mercedes/pencil of Rolex and others.
The Broad arrow/dauphine (as in the Trilogy pieces)
Small arrow/Dauphine hour hand in the AT line
Sword hour/pencil minute of the 2nd generation Seamaster 300 (I always wondered what my 2254.50 would look like if the sword minute hand was changed to a pencil hand) and the military version Submariner 5517 etc...add more examples if you like, but I do think it's a purposeful design trend.

Maybe this could explain why the Seamaster PO never looked right to me with its two arrow hands...hmmm...

Much nicer indeed. 40mm and waterproofness seal (I don't know if it is the correct term) are great. By still the date. And price.

😁 It's because the wait for the speedmaster is unbearable! When I ordered mine back in May, I surely was not told that by September 8th, I will still be waiting!!!

They also probably didn’t say that you’ll get it by September 8th? [emoji23]

Great news!!!! But it's amazing and quite pathetic to notice that the first proof of delivery is an ad for sale... no comment.
