Tax rate will include import tax, state sales tax, industrial product tax...roughly 20%. No tourists don't get reimbursement. Only worth purchasing Omega watches in Brazil when there is a significant depreciation of the Brazilian Real and the local OBs don't readjust pricing (they maintain the pricing with the exchange rate when the goods were imported).

Is that the strap that came with the Speedmaster? I quite like it.

It came with one of them, I can't remember which is which.
That said, shockingly they are very nice straps (as well as the nato's).

Staggered to be in the UK today to find a ‘57 railmaster and seamaster in the window of an AD at GBP 5k and 5.2k respectively. Even more blown away to be offered 20% off without even asking. IMG_0962.JPG

Do you mean 20% off those prices? The retail price is lower in the UK, the Speedy 57 is £5,360. Imagine if you got 20% off and then managed to get the tax back

Indeed I could get the VAT off also which would be another 16.7%. I didn’t go for either. I had a seamaster reserved and passed previously for reasons I am happy to share should anyone have any great interest. Suffice to say all these decisions are based on passion, enthusiasm and most importantly, personal preference. What buggered it totally for me was only the week before picking up my original reservation having the honour of wearing an original from ‘57 and the charm vs. the new reeditions was incomparable. I am a Brit but live in the US and still tempted to go and pick up that seamaster and save the VAT on top of the discount offfered.....

It's a no brainer in that case, get both and flip them in the US, free money ;)

I would’ve picked up that 300 on the spot. That’s an amazing price.

Wow, I've never seen so many 1 star reviews. "we ordered expensive wedding rings from them. When they arrived they were the wrong size. The manager tried to measure them with a plastic ruler....." The mental image of this made me LOL though :D

Ah well. It'd have been awesome to get the 20% discount and VAT returned
