Here I have for sale an attractive steel cased ref 2384 from the mid 1940's, powered by a manual wind calibre 30T2. The screw back steel case is in fine shape, nice and sharp, with no evidence of polishing. The wrench cuts are crisp with none of the gouges often seen. The case diameter is a tad over 35.5mm, so a decent size on the wrist. Unsigned bowler crown and the advantageous spring bar holes in the side of the lugs which make strap changing a pleasure instead of a chore! The dial is a beautiful two-tone silver grey colour with gold indices and arabic quarter markers, gold hands and a blued steel seconds hand. The chapter ring and indices really catch the light nicely bringing it to life when worn. The dial and crystal both have some aging visible under certain lighting conditions and highlighted in my photo's. This dial style is more often seen on the chronometre 30T2RG references and I haven't seen one like it before on this 2384 reference, could be that it is from another 30T2SC ref, I'm not sure. Here a photo taken in very poor light to emphasize the blued seconds hand, the gilt arabics and the dial aging. The copper plated 30TCSC movement has a serial of 11375638 dating it to around 1947. It is running, setting and keeping decent time although not serviced in my ownership. Selling head only at €725 net to me will include worldwide Track and Trace shipping.
