Hello vintage lovers,

I spotted a beautiful vintage manual Omega from 1952 with papers. Reference 2620, cal. 265. Rose gold case (38.5mm) with a honeycomb dial.

The seller claims all parts are 100% original and is asking EUR 3500 for it.

Could anyone give me a rough idea of the value of this watch and if it's a fair asking price given the condition and papers?

Any info or advice is appreciated.

Watch had been polished so much it looks like an old bar of soap. Edges should be very sharp. Crown is way off-color.

Gold or not, the watch isn't worth more than 1/4 the asking price to me.

Save your money.

And no papers but an extract which is easy to obtain. Pass 😀

The Watch is a nice noob trap, it's worth 700-800 USD max given the condition. I would pass!👍

Yeah, but as long as they didn't sold it for that crazy price they can ask Millions of Bolivars.🤨

I have another watch that resembles the first one, so I'm posting it here instead of making a new thread.

Its an automatic ref 2714, cal. 344. 38mm 18 carat RG.
Lugs look a lot better on this one. Asking price is EUR 2600. Is everyone overcharging for these models or are there some out there (maybe this one?) that actually have this value? I really love the design, but I simply lack the knowledge for now to make the right call without your help.

As others have said ...overpriced. A 1950’s sub dial mech wind 18ct case retails in UK for around €2,000 with box, with genuine strap and buckle . 14ct about €1,500 and 9 ct up to €1,000 yes it all about condition. Price will vary but only by 10-15% IMO . Anyway happy hunting ,but I think you could get better value

I don't know bumpers well. But, you can also check eBay's sold listings to see what other people felt was a good price.
