A "please" or "thank you" wouldn't hurt. The value depends entirely if it is actually solid gold, and if so, what the mass of gold is (so minus the dial, movement etc).
If it's sold gold it's worth what the gold is worth, and if it's plated it's not worth anything. The cost of servicing it ( if it's not Quartz) would be more then the value of the watch. Also, with so little information you typically won't get help on the forums and as mentioned before better etiquette goes a long way.
