Hi to everyone at the forum!!

My father recently came across an Omega watch he had in his loft, which was handed down to him from my grandfather a long time ago.

We believe it could be an Omega 176 007 watch after a little research online. What we have found out is, it does not have the original strap fitted.

Please could anyone verify from the photo that the watch in question is an Omega 176 007 and the value of the watch (mechanisms are working)??

Any information would be gladly appreciated.

Can’t help you but you really have a nice watch. Nice heirloom!
Edit: best to share more pictures of the watch case back and perhaps the movement if you can access it. Otherwise go to your watchmaker to open the watch dor you.

Hi everyone,
I finally got a watchmaker to remove the back on my Omega 176 007 watch.

I was pleased to find out it is a Omega genuine watch.
Would anybody be able to tell me roughly how much my watch is worth please??

I’d guess around £1500 in a private sale. Perhaps a bit more if it’s unpolished with no marks to the dial.

Nice watch / probably needs a good service. Looks like it was made in 1972.
I believe Uncle Seiko make an after market strap for it with better end links. You will struggle to find originals (I speak from bitter experience :0)

President Bracelet (Omega Seamaster 176.007) $89

I hope, who ever opened it for you, cleaned up completely the liquified rubber seal . If residue from that reaches your movement, it will stop the movement and smear all over the place....
