    Seen a nice Omega speedmaster 176.0012 on an auction. Was thinking of bidding but are this models any nice , The Mark 4,5 With day and date. Show me you watch to see how they look on the wrist. What is it worth and if i buy and would like to sell i want to make sure i don't loose any money?

    Earlier this year, I had one that was one owner, and needed a full service/new crystal, deep clean... it was in a bit of a state - an STS service was £550 plus £150 if it needed a new date wheel (these are the plastic type that shed teeth).

    I decided that I didn't love it enough to keep it, and looking at the Sold prices of good ones (max £1500 from what I've been able to find as actually sold), I decided it wasn't worth me spending any more money on.

    I sold it "as is" for £900 in April 2016.

    You're going to want to hold this in your hands before you decide you want it... it's a lovely watch, but doesn't feel as robust as some of the other Speedmasters.

    I want the "Grail" variant in the moon watch style case. After reading Mr Maddox's treatise on it I was sold.
