I inquired to my local AD about getting a bracelet for a 145.022-69 Speedmaster. I was thinking I may take a look at a new 1171 bracelet but they recommended a 1699 bracelet. I have never heard of this. They sent me the attached picture. Does anyone have experience with a 1699 bracelet? Is this basically just a new version of the 1171?
I could not find anything either. That is the only picture they sent me (I do not have others). They did say they could order it so I can see it in person with no obligation to buy. I may do that, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with this bracelet first.
I believe there's a misunderstanding, and they are quoting you an 1171699 bracelet... Edit to add - you don't want this for a regular Speedmaster, so tell them you want an 1171633.
OK, thanks @Archer They told me they also have an 1171 in stock (different bracelet). Seems really strange. I'll see if I can see them in person and report (hopefully with pics).
Again I think someone is misquoting numbers. The "1699" is simply the last few digits of 1171/699. It is an 1171 bracelet, but with very different end links. So when you asked for an "1171" that is only a part of the information you need to give them, because you didn't specify the end links from what I can see. The 1171 bracelet is what you need, but with 633 end links, not 699 end links. I get the impression they are trying to unload what they have on hand rather than get you what you are asking for. Again, ask them for an 1171/633 specifically, not just an "1171".
