Hello All! I have recently purchased an Omega Seamster 166.002 with the 562 movement. At first glance it looked good to me but after I got home I started to do what I should have done earlier. My "homework" that is as they say. Now I'm not sure if the dial is a redial as after searching for quite a long time, I could not find a 166.002 that looks like this. Movement an all looks ok to me, case was polished, crystal is not perfect either but those look acceptable for me.
Could you guys please have a look? Any comment appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

Really need a straight on photo of the dial.

With the regulator cranked that far over, the movement likely needs a service, rotor bridge looks like its been replaced (not a big deal, unless you paid a premium price for the watch).

Thanks! I have attached some pics I quickly took. Hands also look ok to me. But one may never know. 20181031_180530.jpg 20181031_180535.jpg 20181031_180544.jpg

Well, I think I paid a little too much (bit less than 500 EUR). But if the dial looks legit, it's already a good news.

Thanks. Date change was working when I got the watch, then the next day I wanted to set it correctly. I was able to adjust 3 or 4 days with the "quick set" and then it got stuck like that. I beleive a service is due even though it was said to be serviced. Unlucky purchase :(

Well, date quick change is the weak point of those otherwise very sturdy movements. Does it change the "normal" slow way or still stuck?

It's stuck now. Won't change at all.

Were you informed that when doing quick change hour hand should be on the lower half of dial (4 to 8)?

Not sure if I get understand what you mean. My understanding was that "quick change" on this calibre should be done by "playing" with the hour hand between 9pm and midnight and back. That should change the date. And it did work for 3 or 4 days and after it got stuck like this.

Yes, you are right, sorry, I misread for 565.

Oh wait, I forget about the movement. With that dial (2 slashes beside the Swiss Made) it must come with cal 565, not 562.

Watch definitely needs a service. The quick change on my 613 is to pull the stem out all of the way.
