Hi, the watch has been sat in my drawer for the last two years. I really need to get it fixed. Can anybody recommend someone to sort it.

I have tried to get a few quotes. £450 for a service and a repair. I really think I can get it cheaper than that.

    Many Thanks

    John

You’re in the UK I take it?
For sure you must be able to find considerably cheaper, you might want to edit your title to say “UK watchmaker referral needed” so people know what it’s about.

john, first of all you need to find out exactly, which balance you need. the staffs have different lengths. then find one on ebay and buy it. then find a UK watchmaker for a service of a caliber 30 T. supply the balance staff, get a new mainspring for Pounds 15 and a service for pounds 250 max. kind regards. achim
