Hi All, I purchased this from an OF member late last year as I was impressed with the condition of the watch and the fact it came with outer and inner box, inserts, papers and buckle. As I already have a couple of other dress watches and as my interest in other references takes hold I have decided to offer this watch to another collector. Details: Case: 34mm (without crown) stainless steel case with 14K gold capping. Appears to be unpolished with some slight scratches. The 14K gold capping is in very good condition. Case Back: Some slight scratches on the case back but in overall very good condition with a very sharp observatory medallion. Dial: The dial is in excellent condition with the markers having an onyx inlay. The hands are also in excellent condition. Crystal and Crown: The crystal is original with a slight crack between the 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock hour markers. It is only slightly noticeable when worn on the wrist. There are some scratches on the outer edge of the crystal as seen in the pictures. The crown is original to the watch and signed with Omega symbol. Movement: Chronometer rated cal 551, 24 Jewel movement in very good condition circa 1960. Service history unknown but on the few occasions I have worn the watch it appears to be keeping good time. I would recommend a service if it was to be worn regularly. Accessories: Comes with outer and inner box, warranty papers and chronometer certificate. Original Omega buckle included with some wear evident. Generic strap with chrome buckle as seen in photos included. Watch location: Australia Price & shipping: $1700 USD/£1360/€1510 net to me by bank wire. I use Transferwise which means it will be a local bank transfer for you in your own currency. now $1425 USD/ £1185 /€1260/ $2100 AUD PayPal available for established OF members with payment in AUD $2400 net to me (reduced price $2100 AUD) Includes express international shipping with insurance. Shipping will occur once funds have cleared. Returns: No returns accepted. Many thanks for viewing and to OF for the space.
Bump. I also have the guarantee certificate which shows a purchase date of 19th August 1961 in case someone was thinking of an early Birthday present
Same thing with my 18k Longines chrono....some guys want to bargain shop. 100 off doesn’t seem that bad.but mine is not an opinion that counts, understandably....
