    Hi Guys,
I came across online an Omega seamaster 120, reference 135.027, caliber 601 with a serial number starting from 22xxxxxx. I have checked several posts from the forum which led me to think that the watch is actually a fake, like bezel, dial and hands seems too new. More importantly, I think the case on the sides is the now the right shape.
Before dismissing this watch completely, I would like to have a second opinion.
    Thanks for your help.

There might be components that are legit, but the bezel and dial are suspect to me. The dial text looks almost gray and it should be white. I’ve seen this particular one floating around the web for months.

As the SM 300s have reached silly prices, the counterfeiters have moved down-market and these 120s are popping up in all the usual places. To the uninformed look fine, but fortunately you have found this forum and now know its a fake.

    Be careful out there.

I'm starting to see a lot of these kinds of fakes around, it's probably something to do with the market and I agree with what XJR had said.

It's a real shame that some people can and do fall for these 'vintage' watches and end up buying into fakes.

Thankfully you had asked before buying right?

Thanks @justinz, @tdn-dk,@Shabbaz, @X350 XJR for your reply, it was really helpful.
@Slowpoker, yes, I didn't buy it, I want the real thing.
Thanks to all the posts and information on this forum, I feel like now I will be able to recognize an original from a fake more easily.

You have now posted this to three threads that I have counted so far, one is all that’s necessary. Be patient, the new thread you made will get responses.

Now I posten on relevant threads while finding newer ones, until finally realising I was able to start a thread. I'll be happy to delete my posts if you find them irrelevant in any thread i posten them in @JwRosenthal

Not irrelevant, sometimes people join the forum and spam every thread, then get what they want and leave.
