Hello everybody, with a bit of a heavy heart, I do want to part with a rather uncommon watch today - I don’t wear it as much as I should and I could use the space and the funds for something else I have in mind. The watch in question is a ca. 1962 Omega 121.001 with a “waffle dial”, for lack of a better name. It was discussed in this very forum: https://omegaforums.net/threads/omega-121-001-unusual-tapisserie-dial.114723/ The Watch Omega 121.001-62 Age: Ca 1962 Movement: manual cal. 269, Omega “30”-series Case: SS Dial: Gold waffle dial, sub-second Size: 33,5mm without crown The Dial Obviously, the party piece of the watch. There wasn’t much feedback from the experts around here, but while I’m in no doubt it’s uncommon, I do believe it’s genuine. Please look at the close-ups from the dial so you can judge yourself - the font looks correct to me and the waffle structure is so complex that I can’t imagine this was actually a redial. Condition I’d say it’s in an overall good condition, small scratches around the case, please refer to the pictures for details - they are not manipulated and part of the description. The dial looks absolutely gorgeous, especially in the light. It does have some dirt on the right hand side, around 2-5 o’clock. I don’t think it has been polished much. It winds up smoothly, runs the 45h it should without a problem and keeps the time reasonably well - I can’t measure it, but I’d say easily within a minute a day. Service history is unknown. If you’d like pictures from a certain angle or have any questions about parts of the watch, please do contact me. Can I actually trust that guy? I’d like to think so. On this forum, I have 5 reviews so far (2 as a seller, 3 as a buyer): https://omegaforums.net/threads/mtv-is-a-great-great-seller.115237/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/mtv-recommended-seller.118712/#post-1581899 https://omegaforums.net/threads/smooth-transaction-with-mtv.114922/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/mtv-is-a-top-buyer-and-a-great-guy.117953/ https://omegaforums.net/threads/excellent-transaction-with-mtv.118548/ I’m also happy to provide multiple positive feedback on another watch forum (all as a seller), as well as a verification through my eBay-account that has been standing for 18 years, with >1700 reviews, 100% positive. Please do ask. Payment, Shipping & Returns Payment is accepted via PayPal, bank transfer or cash in person. A coffee would be included in a personal transaction. The watch is located in Germany, insured shipping (500€ of insurance value) is: 5€ within Germany 14€ within Europe 45€ to most parts of the non-European world I do accept returns within 48 hours of receiving the watch if I misrepresented it in any way. The Price Hard to put a price on a model that I’ve only seen change hands one more time in the last couple of years. The last one was sold in an eBay auction for the equivalent of ~690€ in worse condition, I’d be happy to provide the information to that. I think that the auction went well for the seller, so I’m asking 580€ net to me head only -or- 620€ net to me including the genuine, brown or dark blue Rios1931 croco strap displayed in the pictures I’d prefer to not sell to dealers. Hope it’s legitimate to put it like this. If there are any more questions or requests for further pictures, please do let me know. And now, more pictures:
