Good morning, I saw this listing and would like some opinions. It looks to me like an original civilian Seamaster 120 on which the AAF symbol was engraved later (I haven't seen other AAF models with engravings in this position, but always with the hippocampus off-center). However, the calibre and serial number seem correct. The listing states that the bezel is aftermarket. In your opinion, is this a fake or rather a genuine piece devalued by an obviously non-original engraving?
Thanks

if you want a nice and real one, you should look at the private watch sales section… 😇

Thank you all for your answers! As I imagined, the price was too good to be true! It's sad to see these ads from "certified sellers" on C24!

You need to be very, very careful with SM120’s and SM300’s. There are usually more fakes than genuine watches for sale at any given moment. Many well known dealers and auction houses have fakes for sale so that isn’t a guarantee either unfortunately.

Some specialist dealers know what they’re talking about but I’d say the safest place to buy is the sales section here as most sellers are educated and any fakes will be quickly called out by the mob.
