There are actually a couple of other versions as well. I believe the early ones come with no pattern at all. Just flat silver, like the inside of the lid on mine. I have also seen them with the pattern on top of the lid only, not on the sides. 😀

I think the pattern one's, like mine will age better because the silver does not tarnish as much with the pattern on it.
