Found this watch and hope that anyone can tell me anything avout it. He wanted around 500 dollars for it. Is that a fair price? 20180312_024426.jpg

Is it not suppose to have the spots on the dial?

It's likely a 2937. I have one similar (but without the spotting). See below. I would haggle a bit more. Not sure if that shmootz on the top left lug (by 11 oclock) is just shmootz or corrosion. I'd also want to see the movement to make sure there isn't major damage.

I'd be a bit more forgiving of the spotting as this is a bit of a rare variant as it really is two tone. I would buy it at $300 with all the information you seem to possess right now.

    Here is mine:

No, rust is generally a bad thing.

Should be a 2937, bicolour dial is very nice and not so common IMHO, price seems quite fair

Didnt think it was rust but a design choice. Anyways I think I will get this. Are there any ways to get rid of the rust and were without ruining the dial?

Nope. Redials are worse IMHO. Its original now...I would just enjoy it as is and only work on the movement.

Though not an expert, my guess the spots and yellowing come from the degradation of a lacquer on the dial. On some dials the lacquer can be removed (and re-lacquered) without damaging the rest of the dial but Omegas tend to lose the printing with the lacquer, and the watch would lose a lot of its value. Others can chime in...
