I love watches for their beauty and like to imagine where the older ones may have been during their lifetime. But I know very little about how they work. Have a look at this very relaxing video and at the end, witness a brand new Hamilton watch inside its box. Have a nice weekend and ask yourself… NB. This video is probably in this Forum somewhere already, but here it is again, easy to find.

Wow - this took me back to grade school in the late 60s - early 70' and the movies that we used to watch in class. Whether it was the St. Lawrence Seaway, or "the modern automobile," they all had similar production qualities and that monotone voice track. What a great explanation and a beautiful watch at the end. I love the old 1950's ivoroid boxes from Hamilton. Here is my 1952 14k Hamilton Fleetwood but I don't have the box to go with it. I have to look again to see if I can find one. I was going to sell this watch but I have 2 daughters and a wife who like watches and it is a great size for women, so I decided to keep it.

That is the short version - here is the longer version:

The short version eliminates the section at the start where they use a garden hose and some simple items to show the basic idea, which I think is very helpful in understanding how those things work in a watch...
