What would you do if you needed one? Pay these prices or use an incorrect/later one?

Honestly I'd buy the later one, its ultimately a functional item thats inside the watch and serves a purpose other than aesthetic, as long as the correct genuine Omega part was used I'd be cool with it.

There's this bizzare bubble that we are living in of wanting our tool watches to show the life they have led yet return their 'originality' , which can of defeats the object.

There is a NASA watch in the Smithsonian that is a flown 64 with a donor 861 and later pro dial, would you return it to standard or keep it as is??

Obsession over getting watches back to 'stock' sure is messing with them more, a dial I understand, hands and bezels I understand, even obsession over terribly made flat link bracelet but for me a dust cover takes OCD to a new level

I thought it might be an interesting question because it's often details like these that put hunters on alert. Why was it changed? What else was changed?

A new dust cover (or movement ring, or pushers, or crystals, or...) are usually not enough to dissuade me from a sale, but I would ask a few more questions if I was considering a buy...

Actually the yellow O-rings were on the TGDW, not Speedmasters. The spring bars were a Speedy thing though, although I think some other had them too.
