So I found a watch that says Omega on it but it doesn't say seamaster and has no serial number. Is it a fake? It's solid gold so im wondering if it's actually real or is it a really expensive fake.

    It looks perfectly genuine.

Serial number will be on the movement.

It's gold plated with a stainless steel back, solid gold Omegas have gold backs.

    Hi,
I believe the watch is from the 70's with a 1020 movement, it looks like a 166.0209 or a 166.0117 case. I know very little and would suggest to have the case back removed to verify the case, movement and serial number.
There are many experts on Omega forum who could tell you what you have better then I will ever be able to.

    Thanks alot for the information.

I think the case back isnt the orginal case back. The strap said Hong Kong on it. It was brown calf's leather with a faded plated gold pin buckle. I may send this watch to be fixed I just wanted to know if it's worth it.

The case back looks correct to me, the strap probably was replaced years ago. Depends on what the repair cost and if you are keeping it or selling.

It has a 20 followed by the omega symbol printed on that. I was planning on getting it fixed to give to a young gentleman I work with when he graduates in may.

That means 20 microns gold plated.

Unfortunately repair cost could easily exceed the value of the watch.
