Hi, and thanks for taking alook at this thread.
I recently picked up this old looking 3 dial watch,
looks like an early version of the Chronos
but i must admit i am new to watch collecting and am at the bottom end of the learning curve.

I cant seem to find the same model anywhere which makes me think it may be a frankenstine type just put together from allsorts ??
Missing a coffin pusher,
missing the seconds hand
not running, winder is solid.

so please give your opinions on wether you would pay to fix up . regards Scott
now can i load images !! lets see.

The dial is redone, which will explain why you can’t find others

anybody able to date the movement maybe ??
its odd as no movement markins , just on the case back marked 2277-2

Only the gold version shows up in the Omega Vintage Database, but it is incomplete. The gold version was produced 1943-1960.

You can estimate the date using the serial number and the chart in this thread:

I would pass on this watch. Finding an original dial will be next to impossible and the repainting ruins the collector's value. This is more of a parts watch, IMHO.

Thanks v much for the info and advice,
so serial being 10723954 make it 1944 to 46 just after the war
is there any chance that was the original dial used due to shortages ??

I edited the title to make it a bit more descriptive for future search purposes to include the calibre (both the actual name and the calibre it became in later years) and reference

I expect most of us would advise against trying to renovate this watch. Even if you were able to get it running, the dial is a real mess.

Vintage cal 321 Seamasters are super watches, worth the hunt for a good one. Hang on to yours for parts, keep looking and good luck!

These are I think pretty small at 32.5mm, so even if you could fnd a dial, hands and pusher you'd still end up with a watch that isn't all that wearable.

the movement looks pretty clean, and could be good for parts.

The dial on the watch is almost certainly the original dial. The only problem is that it was damaged and then painted over. If you are looking for a postwar chronograph there are some good ones in the forsale section. See:
