Looks like a silver cased Omega "trench watch". The dial looks to be in good condition with a small crack at 3. Blued steel hands look correct for the period.

Restoration by Omega will be very expensive so make sure to compare their price with other independent watchmakers.

    For more identification see here.

Here's it's brother circa 1916 according to movement #. The case may be nickel rather than silver. 20170527_104641.jpg

Thank you both for your replies, Jiminoz would you think independent watch makers able to repair this watch? Are the parts not unique to Omega? Would you recommend any?

    Many thanks James

The movement is likely one of the small version of the 19'' shape series. The only way to get parts for these movements is to buy donors - and hope the parts you need are good! It can be expansive and time consuming.

I would try to bring the watch to a local watchmaker specialized in vintage watches. You can also try to open the watch - usually it is not difficult with these watches - and post here pics of the movement.

I think this watch predates WWI. Looks like one of the first Omega watches from the very early 1900's.

    Ad above is from 1906.

We would need to see the inside of the case (specifically the case serial number) to know any more.

    Hope this helps.
