ยทI am new to pocket watches so appreciate any advice and info on a pocket watch I recently purchased. The watch face has "Ancre" printed on it. Inside the watch back it has some engravings. I can't read all of them because they are so small. But I can read
"Crawford Watch Co Swiss" and "12-6-47" and "15 Jewels"
It runs really well. I have only had it a day so I am checking long-term accuracy
1) The ring that a chain attaches to is missing. How can I get one of these and where can I get a watch chain ?
2) How often and how tight should I wind it?
3) Is there any routine maintenance, oiling, or whatever that I can do myself?
4) Is there any way I can find out more of the watch history ?
