Also the auction shots show back in the day country folk in the UK knew there was no such thing as bad weather.... just wrong clothing and rain does not stop play :0)

I had a friend who lived in Houston, TX and was dating a Brit. They went on a day trip to New Orleans and stopped at a roadside crawfish stand. The fisherman spoke with a heavy creole accent so neither of them could understand each other- they ended up both having to speak French to communicate.

A friend was in New Orleans a few years ago. She was on her way to her son’s place in a taxi. The driver asked her how she liked N’awlins! She paused for a moment, not fully understanding, so she answered that she didn’t know, as she hadn’t tried them yet! 😜
