I've been eyeing it for over a week, and once I got over the bezel bumps, and missing trit, it was pretty much a no-brainer... Those are just character traits! I esp. liked that the case was in great shape, and everything matched up original... nice color to the dial and bezel. I thought the price was a bit high, but he was willing to work with me...
Here's the ad, from our own Sales Forum: http://omegaforums.net/threads/1963-omega-speedmaster-straight-lug-105-003-cal-321-ed-white.20541/
The '65 'Ed White' he has is pretty tempting as well, having already been serviced, it's well priced, IMO... I was even thinking, maybe I should 'switch'? But then I realized, from my readings in the 'Moonwatch Only' book, that the '63 is much less common than the '65, which was actually in production for many years...
It's all down to personal preference isn't it? I would sway towards the faded bezel of the '65 but let's be honest, you can't really go wrong with either. Congrats on a great watch that seems to be getting more and more sought after!
LOL! That was speculation in case I bought Dennis the Menace's '69... Thanks for your comments in that thread... you can pride yourself on influencing me in a positive way... you dang enabler!!
Maybe I'll go in reverse, and get 'Menace's '69? Which is nice, BTW, just a bit 'green' for my taste... I'd buy an Apollo-Soyuz 35th at the right price...
