A reluctant and rare sale by me. I am a buyer not a seller! Only being offered as something else has come along which is very tempting and need to raise funds, hence straight sale and no trades please. Watch is currently in USA (New York) but can be in London at the end of January as I am there on business.
I got this a couple of years ago. Good example with original bracelet from a collector. The Extract shows it is probably the earliest recorded 74 as the movement is a 31.009 mill from 1971. Way earlier than Moonwatch Only book indicated in Vol2 and was updated in Vol3 to reflect it, so a little bit of history.

Dial - excellent flat correct dial with greenish lume as per this period.

Crystal - original with logo. Some scratches, which a dose of Polywatch would remove.

Hands. The lume had started to disintegrate so I had these stabilized when I got the watch as didnt want it getting into the movement. Tritium used with same green tint as dial so they match.

Case. Some evidence of polishing but still good, clean and presentable after nearly 50 years.

Bezel - excellent correct - flattened paint giving some character

Caseback - excellent condition, some scratches from careless opening in the past (which could be polished out I am sure) with correct 74 markings and some service dates.

Pushers and crown - all original as far as I can establish

Bracelet - correct 1171 with 633 end links and trapezoid logo on clasp in excellent condition (I have only worn this watch twice since I got it), Fitted to my 7.5inch wrist (I may have some spare links for those with bigger ones).

Movement - very early clean,. All working correctly with counters resetting to zero. Amplitude is good, Not serviced whilst in my collection but keeping good time and checked when the hands were done. Correct original dust cover.

Accessories - Extract of Archive from Omega. Box is a rare one from my own collection and shown for illustrative purposes only and is not for sale. (I can supply an age-appropriate box if this is going to be a gift)

Settlement would be by US bank transfer, face to face, UK bank transfer or other methods to be discussed (pref not PayPal as it too expensive). TBH I prefer meeting any buyer but know this is not always practical. Lets talk to discuss options regarding post etc.

    Price US$4500 or GBP3465.

    Summary

A good example of an 861 Tritium dialed model from a collector which would make an excellent daily wearer or birth watch for anyone born 1971-1974! Not mint collector grade but a viable cost-effective alternative to a new one and a better long term investment.

Photos taken on Apple iPhone. Not brilliant but I dont have a camera. If you want more I can take them. I have bought and occasionally sold on this forum for many years so hopefully someone can vouch for me!

I'm confused, the extract doesn't record the subreference of the watch. So it isn't a "recorded 74" it's a confirmed 145.022-XX from 1971. The serial may indicate that in fact it's out of range for a -74, no?

Serial correct for a -74 ref.; extract never mentions -XX year of the reference. Imho. Very honest example here and very honest description by the seller. Congrats to the buyer and the seller.
