I have a new watch on the go but I won't be able to pick up for another two weeks. I am going to pick up as I don't want to risk shipping but the wait is killing me. This is the worst that a wait has ever been for me.

I know I am not the first to experience this. What do you guys do in this situation? Look at pics a million times a day, carry out endless research etc::book::

Try to put it out of your mind or you'll drive yourself crazy/crazier.

Oh, and stop running all of those what-if scenarios through your head.

Hopefull you're not picking it up from Hatton Garden Safe Deposit Ltd, because someone might have beaten you too it.

(Apologies. Not sure of your location but most Brits can't resist a wind-up, and I'm not talking watches)

This one has really got under my skin. I normally don't even like talking about a watch until I receive it but this one could almost break the rule. Ha, and no it is not from Hatton Garden.

Busy yourself by identifying and hunting for the next acquisition! Or just go out with friends or family, have a few drinks, busy yourself with other activities, and so on.

Personally, I have consistently experienced more happiness in receiving watches which I didn't anticipate so greatly, as opposed to those which I thought about night and day until the day they arrived. The all-consuming nature of obsession does take a bit of a toll, and that level of anticipation does in my case translate into an overly-critical eye that sullies a bit the joy of a new (to me) watch. There is also the pleasant surprise of receiving something which you'd put out of mind - almost like Christmas come early.

^^^ what he said, buy more watches. Seriously nothing better than the thrill and anticipation of waiting for that next watch. Of course wearing it is not too bad either.

One good way to spend the waiting time, is to make a "guess what´s incoming"-thread. Give us a few hints, and then we can have a guessing contest :)

It´s not an advanced guess that it´s a Speedmaster we´re talking about. Should narrow it down some

I guess that you don't have to be a clairvoyant to guess that it is a Speedy:D
