Are all drivers on our American roadways today just stupid?!

What a train wreck!

In Eastern Tennessee.

I made an impromptu 15 minute run today, down I-35 from Hillsboro to West and all driving on the interstate except me were nitwits; attempting to drive at excessively high rates of speed in heavy traffic congestion, cutting in and out, "creating" holes where their weren't any holes for them to go. Lots of trucks crowding the interstate as well and this generation of truck drivers can't be trusted to drive intelligently either.

A load that long should have had an escort vehicle, the route should have been planned out with the RR crossing strategy well thought out. Most of the blame goes on the company contracted to do the transport. I worked on mega projects for a large corporation where big, heavy loads were transported, a lot of planning was done beforehand to make sure the loads could be transported and turned safely on the route, that doesn't seem to have been done here. Big fail.

Most of the blame goes on the company contracted to do the transport.

I assign 49% of the blame on the transport company, and 51% on Hodinkee. 😁

I assign 100% of the blame on the driver he should not of even entered the crossing (note the stopped traffic ahead of the truck) unless he was sure to completely clear it. Same as you don’t enter an intersection if you can not get completely across.

This thread reminds me of an icy mornring here in Baltimore I remember well about 6 years ago. Anyone who drives around here in the winter, let alone truckers should know better on elevated highways- sadly this was a disaster.
