A bit of a special night for me last night

landed a lovely SS 168.010 with full box and papers
(£60 new -or could be guineas)

but that was just the 'entrée'
also landed my first 18kt gold Connie (separate previous thread)

will have to wait until Christmas to see the SS as it is being sent home to Blighty
but the golden child is winging its way here to me in the land of sun and sand -much more amenable import tax regime here in Dubai!

    obligatory pics

Be careful with those SS cases and pink gold furniture.
Sometimes the dial furniture were in SS and the Frankenmasters dipped them in pink stuff ... voilà.

    thanks Hoi
I think this one is kosher (no nightmares  )
the seller bought it (for himself ) from the original owner (I asked for the back story -just out of interest -and the guy seems to be genuine enough)
He thinks it is a '69 (his birth year) but it could easily be a '67 if you look at the way the numbers are written on the papers (and the serial number is in a range '67-'69)

I have a 168.010 pink gold cap -with the 'proper' pink gold medallion on the back
but I also have a 168.005 SS cross hair with gold indices and hands but a SS medallion -looks great (again -an 'untouched' full set bought at auction recently)
The latter I hadn't seen and only just received from the watchmaker and wore for the first time the same day I bid on the two watches above -so it was a triple whammy day really.....(it is now my 'lucky' watch of course! ;))
    now on wrist today

ps sorry about the pic -there is no mark on the minute hand !

    thanks for that Cicindela
I nearly got caught out with the lug spacing when I put a new strap on my gold cap 168.010
I didn't include the sellers picture for the SS 168.010 which shows an 18mm Hirsch strap -for that reason -but I guess you spotted it from the close ups!
I didn't have the heart to tell the seller as he was quite pleased at putting a 'nice Hirsch strap' on the watch
