So it's the middle of the night and I am feeding our new daughter. Surfing the net I came across this...and put a bid in. Blow me if I didn't win it and it arrived today all the way from Mexico. So what do the forum members think? It came with I think an original bracelet now removed by me. Seems clean and tidy and running well thus far.
Another one for the collection I hope.

    Looks really nice.

Might be the pic's and my low resolution on my phone but the area right above the pushers seems to be polished uneven.

Either way, sounds like you didnt put too much money on it as you seemed somewhat surprised that you won the auction?

Still its a good looking piece.

    Btw
I have also bought a lot of MUCH worse and sometimes idiotic items when im drunk and on ebay. Whisky and ebay does not always compute. Like when i bought a vacuum cleaner two years ago...on ebay..

    maybe a finger shadow?

case looks sharp, retains the brushing and champhered edges

your MK IV was the most popular of the three different main models with the cal 1045

personally think you did well, but not an expert, others will be along with better knowledge

when looking at one of these myself recently came to learn the plastic plate can sometimes deteriorate, though yours looks splendid

The 1045 is a great movement. Very readable, especially when using chrono. The sweep minute hand is awesome!

Looks like it's in great condition too. You've got quite a run of marks in a short period of time!

The watch looks authentic and in good conditin. Hard to say how well you did - that depends on the price paid. :)

My collection is indeed growing fast. Gulp!
Next a Mk5, 125, Mk4, then onto earlier models. Then ltd editions. Then....oh dear. This way madness lies.
    Back to feeding the baby.......

Love it! Had one in nice user shape and miss it (although I could have bought it back from my buyer, who advertised it using my pictures! Hey, THAT looks familiar... :) )
It's one of three must-haves from the Mark series (in my opinion). The other two are the TV (176.0014) and the 125/Anniversary brick. Well, there's the 007, and... Yeah. Dreadful disease...!

Seems the watch looks so nice and nobody's noticed the chrono second hand is incorrect and wrong vintage. :) Also the side chamfer seems to have been brushed by someone instead of polished to a shiny sheen.

Couldn't resist to neat-pick you: it's a Mk 4.5 not Mk IV :D. And what did you mean by most popular or you left out the Maddox's Grail?

Flattered to be corrected, not forgetting Maddox but more of this model were made and sold :)

Again glad to be set straight as I do continue to be on the look out for one, I thought the champher was supposed to be brushed!

at least I was right about something . . .

I noticed the second hand too. Looks like one from a Cal321 Speedie? Seems to have a bit of age and does not look out of place with the others.

Will get it changed when serviced.

Wearing it today. Tough choice! What do we think about strap v bracelet on these? I actually prefer strap I think but have a 1162 coming soon. What end pieces would this have had originally?

for the mk2, the original (or at least one of the original) end links were 173 - 1162/173.

    that's a great line up!
