Worth mentioning @Trev has made some significant improvements to the site in the last month and a half to further improve search, tagging and labelling of threads, greatly reducing the number of threads with useless titles like HELP! and making information much easier to find.

We're seeing the benefits from that flowing through in the form of increased traffic and new members now which is great to see for the long term health of the site. A lot of time and effort went into it from him so its awesome to see some actual benefits from google rather than continuing declines as AI answers replace links to the site.

This is such a minor thing, I hate to post it, but it's curious. This is viewed in Safari on a MacBook running Sonoma 14.6.1. The launch screen has two different appearances, randomly. The first is obviously the intended look.

That's actually really odd, I'll let @Trev know but it looks like something relating to the CSS not getting loaded in, is it still happening?

Sorry Dan, not sure how I missed your post.

Unfortunately, I only have access to Safari on Sequoia (and later releases). I haven't seen it on those. When the weird header appears, does it resolve itself by scrolling the page or any other actions? Reload fixes it?

It doesn't go away with scrolling, reload occasionally fixes it. Clicking on one of the whited-out buttons turns it black.

It's really not a big deal especially if it is cured by an OS upgrade. I will get around to that one of these days.

Having an issue with posting links using Google’s Gemini AI.

I posted a link to a thread on gold prices, which I hope will stay current:

When you click the link on my cellphone running Safari, it takes you to the page below and then to the link.

This isn’t happening on my Windows PC, so any clue as to what is going on here?
