I don't usually favor case refinishing, but given that this one was pretty rough, and had other issues that keep it from being all original, I sent this (head only) to Tmorehouse51 who'd did IMHO a very nice job. Found hands that were acceptable and replaced existing ones; sourced a near NOS complete Omega clasp; redid the bracelet myself, and ended up with this: Far from perfect, but it is a watch that has been on my radar for a few years and I consider this one is very acceptable at a modest outlay.
Great project! When all comes together like this, the watch might be worth more to you than a perfect one.
