A really cool find. Brass plate with raised lettering from 1954. Not sure what it was used for but a great piece for the collection

 

Very cool. There are 2 vertical slots in the plate? Any stamping on the reverse side? My first thought would be a retail display

 

that’s what I thought. Yes 2 vertical slots. No markings but I suspect it was made by Huguenin who did a lot of their metal display pieces

 

Nice unusual logo. I don't recall seeing one with green, most of them tend to be black on brass.

 

Any kind of Astronomical Observatory logos are very rare...
.

 

I’ve also seen a Red logo. I’ll contact the Heritage department at Zenith and see if they have any info
