Just went through there. Glad they had the other auction lots for some diversity - plus they're displaying their Watch Shop pieces for immediate (and heavily overpriced) purchase.
The 2915-1 is of course the headliner, but I far preferred the look of the 2915-2:
Sure, the case is polished but to me, it looks a lot more honest than the -1. Still though, both had dial/hand lume that was just a little too matchy-matchy, too perfect... These watches must have been stored in a hermetically-sealed vault.... or....
I'm just saying, almost every other 2915 I've seen has hands with almost no lume left
☕
Still, I wouldn't be surprised to see both 2915s top 100k.
That said, the lineup of 4 or 5 2998s was really nice, I liked them all! But the 321 Pros didn't look all that special to me. They also looked very "prepared," especially the Ron Evans flown watch...
It was nice to see a Gemini IV in the flesh, and it truly is very pretty. But I think the real eye-opener of the day for me wasn't an Omega at all - it was the Heuer "white Orange Boy" 1163 which is a really electrifying piece, on its gorgeous original Corfam strap and in its original box.
All in all, I think I'd most like to take the 2998-1 home, with its dagger subdial hands and Base-1000 bezel.
