    Hi OF,

I was just inspecting my gold compax closely last week and notice that there are some numbers behind one of the lugs. I've never seen this in UG before and those numbers definitely aren't the case reference.

Has anyone seen this before in UG watches? Or if anyone know what does these numbers mean. I've asked around to a few people and no one seems to know what it is.

    Thanks heaps

    Andre

Usually, marking on lugs are there to associate the case (top) with case back. There does not seem to be any sort of correlation between numbers on lugs and numbers on case so I am a little lost.

My Italian collector friend told me that marking on lug normally found on military issued UG chronograph as he has one of those, especially the one found in South America. But obviously this is not the case since the movement is stamped HOX and definitely a civilian gift.

Anyone else seen this on UG chrono?

That's what I said as well to my friend, as I know that you have one of those and you've already told me that you've never seen the engraving behind the lug before! Anyway, I'm still waiting for his UG photos.
