Hi OF

I hope there is a Heuer Military Watch-expert sitting out there - who can help me. I´m considering selling this watch, and I need some help to a fair sales price. Furthermore I have no idea about what kind of movement it is. I have done some research and my best gues is Valjoux 22/23 - but i dont know.

Information about the watch:
Brand: Heuer pilot chronograph military watch from 40s

Movement: Mechanical Swiss movement

Case: Chrome-plated brass, D without crown = 36 mm, wear and tear, rear case in stainless steel, no. 41516

Dial and hands: Gilt, military-black, original lumen - with some loss of lumen

Crown: According to the previous owner's original

Crystal: Acrylic in good condition, probably a later replacement

Background: I have bought it from a guy who bought it from the first owner

Age: Most likely it´s a watch from the 1940s (WW2)

Strap: Maybe original (with military mark), at least old in good condition

Hope somebody can help.

Thanks
Mobillen

Any caseback markings? I assume not, or else you would have mentioned it.

Looks not to be an actual issued military watch. Just one of many black dialed bi-compax chronos sold at the time. Could it have been used by someone in the military? Maybe, but without provenance, it's impossible to tell.

Here's a similar one (Ref 348) from Nic Green's site (chronomatic.com).

As mentioned, no evidence of it being "military". Crown is unlikely to be original.
