great - ill just pop out and pick up a few 2915's to suit. - at $100 that actually is now a reasonable option for someone in need... will any one on here go for one??
Stupid shipment rate indeed.. Wonder when he will start making do90 bezels. Think there is a huge market for these bezels..
that has been already made and they are in the market for many months now..... inserts only; can be mounted in old steelbezels..... kind regards. achim
It's the same seller of the steel base 1000 inserts. In my never ending search for a real one, we corresponded and he has these. He stated that they are actually NOS Omega supplier produced (from back in the day) inserts. I have my doubts. They are rather precise.
That's the thing to remember. A replica part is always a replica part, even if the "tell"is tiny. I suspect this seller was trying to sell these parts to people who allow themselves to believe the parts are original - while at the same time doing nothing to make clear the origin of these parts. The value of a replica part is the cost of manufacture. This particular manufacturer fails to grasp this concept, and thinks his product's value is somehow connected to the rarity of the original. Nothing I have heard about this seller has filled me with any desire to work with him.
Just to be clear, I asked him what the price would be, and he said "make me a serious offer." So I did. I thought it was serious, anyway.
I was being facetious. This seller/manufacturer thinks these reproductions are equal in price to a NOS of the original item. Even worse, he makes false representations regarding the authenticity of his merchandise.
