So he's careful not to claim its original or an Omega part, yet he charges Omega part money for it.

    His username is even "tachymetre_base_1000"

Its hard not to be very sad when seeing stuff like this.

Does omega still provide that kind of parts? If I send my 2915 to omega without bezel will it come back with a silver one? Not sure...

STS provided a solution for someone quite recently the steel bezel off the '57 re-edition in the 1990s was worn down a bit on a lathe to give it a vintage feel and used, it was a great fit but doesn't pretend to exactly replicate the original. IMO that's the best option or something along those lines. Also about 12,300 euro cheaper, and a genuine Omega part not something someone cooked up.

What a ridiculous price, if somebody was to pay that for a reproduction bezel then they must have more money than sense.

The listing title violates ebay policy even without the seller claiming that the bezel is "original". A proper title would have been:

    "Replacement Aftermarket Bezel for.."

Shenanigans. Somebody will pay too much for it.

But then the seller wouldn't have hope for a buyer that doesn't understand how to read what isn't said. Purposely beating around the bush and not spelling it out is a game often played on eBay called "seller semantics".

Deceptive at least and priced in the stratosphere for a non oem part imo.

Well I have been working on a repro bezel for a while.
    Total cost so far....£100

I can tell you that the font and dimensions of the ebay ones do not look right.

They may be, but not to me.

It was only a matter of time before someone beat me to it!

Buyer will have an easy time filing SNAD if he wants to because of the listing title. Whether or not buyer figures out he doesn't have the real deal is another question entirely.

It's OK just as long as you don't claim it's the real thing!
