·For your consideration is this beautiful LeCoultre stainless steel Memovox alarm watch. Dating from 1955, it has a screw back case, and nicely tapered lugs. The unsigned crowns are believed to be original and correct for this reference.
The black and gilt dial has aged to a wonderful patina, and features numerals, dagger markers, and unique raised pyramids.
The caliber 814 hand wound movement was serviced by the previous owner around a year ago, and the watch keeps very good time, with the alarm functioning perfectly ( as long as you like being awoken by the sound of an angry bee ! ).
The case measures 34mm across, not including crowns. And 41mm lug to lug. It is sold with this seldom worn, black, Jean Rousseau lizard skin strap ( renowned strap supplier to haute horologie ).
Please note that the pictures are an integral part of the description, and returns are not accepted, so please ask if further information on the watch is needed. References from other OF members are available on request.
The asking price of USD 850 includes insured shipping worldwide, or a face to face meeting in NYC is possible.
