Up for sale is a very nice gold capped 9022 reference Longines Conquest with a beautiful railtrack dial. The dial is in very nice condition with a subtle speckled patina. The case is unpolished (or close to it) with sharp bevels on the lugs (uncommon for gold capped) and a nice "fish in kelp" medallion on the caseback. Features a correct scalloped crown (nearly impossible to find). The movement was recently serviced by my watchmaker and is running very well. Also comes with a genuine vintage gold plated Longines buckle. [edit:] Also included below is the information from the Longines Archive, which specifies that the watch was invoiced in December 1960 to Venezuela.

Please see below for more details, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Dial: The original dial features a unique and in my opinion very attractive railtrack design. The dial is in very nice condition with just a subtle speckling of patina. Lume has darkened and my watchmaker said there are some cracks in the lume on the hands, so he stabilized the lume from the back during service.

Case: Original 35mm gold capped 9022-2 reference case is in very nice condition. It appears to be unpolished based on the sharpness of the bevel on the lugs and bezel. "Fish in kelp" medallion on the caseback is in very nice condition (usually more of the green enamel is missing). There's no significant wear - the most noticeable is some wear on the inside of the lugs from use of an improper bracelet (can't see it unless you take the strap off).

Crown: When I bought it, it had a very ugly generic crown, but after over two years of searching I managed to find a correct scalloped crown for it that was recently installed during service. Very uncommon to find them with the original crown so I was pleased to find a correct one.

Crystal: New generic crystal was installed during service.

Movement: Original in-house Longines 290 caliber automatic movement was recently fully serviced by Chandler at CL Timeworks. It's running very well.

Strap: Comes on the 18mm Debeer brown leather strap and the genuine vintage gold plated Longines buckle pictured. Note the buckle is slightly bent, but it functions fine and could be straightened (I just haven't bothered).

Price is $699 (reduced from $1,099). I'll cover insured US shipping, international shipping is available but cost to be discussed with the buyer. Bank transfer or PayPal goods and services are okay for payment (buyer covers fees for PP). OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.
